Senior Patent Attorney Jobs description
A senior patent attorney’s primary responsibilities include all aspects of intellectual property counseling. A senior patent attorney may be responsible for preparation and prosecution for both national and international patent applications. In addition to management of outside counsel, involved in patent drafting and prosecution is also covered by senior patent attorney. A senior patent attorney’s job involves participation in the formation and implementation of business strategy, company processes, policies and procedures. A senior patent attorney may also educate company personnel in various areas of intellectual property law such as patent law basics, laboratory notebook practice, protection of confidential information and trade secrets.A senior patent attorney should have 5+ years of experience. Trademark experience would be desirable for senior patent attorney. A senior patent attorney needs strong patent database searching skills. A senior patent attorney should have ability to prioritize responsibilities, should be flexible and able to multi-task. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both oral and written are desired for senior patent attorney position.
