Intellectual Property Patent Partners Jobs description

An intellectual property patent partner assists clients in resolving disputes involving patent, trademark, and copyright issues, including federal and state court litigation, as well as mediation and arbitration proceedings. An intellectual property patent partner assists in drafting patent applications for first filing patent prosecution before the oppositions. An intellectual property patent partner maintains liaising with direct clients and international attorneys; provides support to commercial transactions and litigation; undertakes legal research as and when required; and orders patent copies, journal articles, and archive documents. An intellectual property patent partner maintains electronic database preparation of invention and patent disclosure preparation. An intellectual property patent partner establishes and maintains intellectual property related agreement files and database; performs patent searches and various other searches as needed; and assist in the preparation of legal documents, especially by providing needed fact gathering.

An intellectual property patent partner requires a bachelor\'s degree plus minimum of five years of experience with intellectual property/ patents/ trademarks knowledge. An intellectual property patent partner should be able to prioritize and manage workload independently; should posses\' excellent administrative skills (maintaining files, typing, grammar, composing letters, etc.); and have strong organizational/ administrative skills. An intellectual property patent partner should be a self-starter and have ability to exercise independent judgments. An intellectual property patent partner should have strong communication skills and ability to work with product managers and outside counsel.
