Our client, a Top I00 AmLaw firm, is seeking a 3-6 year patent prosecution associate to join their vibrant Intellectual Property Group in the Houston office. The ideal candidate is an associate from another AmLaw100 with patent prosecution experience, and a BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Other experience in intellectual property transaction work, including licenses, due diligence, patent, trademark, and copyright applications and prosecution before respective government agencies, investigations, opinions, and client counseling is helpful but not required. You must be licensed to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office. Candidates should have a strong academic record from a nationally respected law school and an equally impressive undergraduate degree, and excellent references. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to excellence are also required.
