Our company is looking for an experienced property manager/bookkeeper to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting/finance and property management requirements. Property management maintains property rentals by advertising and filling vacancies; negotiating and enforcing leases; maintaining and securing premises. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. Bookkeeping QuickBooks experience preferred reconcile and balance all accounts draw up financial statements (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet) collate and analyze account data and generate financial reports manage accounts payable and accounts receivable prepare checks, payments and bank deposits prepare and process payroll assist with audits maintain complete filing system to support financial records Property Management responsibilities: Rent Responsibilities Setting Rent Rates, Collecting Rent, Adjusting Rent, Tenant Responsibilities Managing tenants, Finding Tenants, Screening Tenants, Handling Leases Handling Complaints/Emergencies, Handling Move in/Outs, Dealing with Evictions Maintenance and Repairs The property manager must keep the property in safe and habitable condition. Property managers are responsible for the physical management of the property, including regular maintenance and emergency repairs. Knowledge of Landlord-Tenant Law Responsible for Managing the Budget/Maintaining Records The property manager should keep thorough records regarding the property. This should include all income and expenses; list of all inspections, signed leases, maintenance requests, any complaints, records of repairs, costs of repairs, maintenance costs, record of rent collection and insurance costs. Responsible for Taxes The property manager sends the property owner 1099 and yearly property statements.
