Job Description:
Summary of Role
Lead product content development to
serve
public accountants’/management accountants’ competency development needs.
Manage product portfolio to maximize revenue and margin
and enhance member value.  Ensure that content and products are developed in accordance with scope, quality guidelines, COGS budget and product schedules
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Lead team that develops content to deliver products that address competency needs of the profession.
Manage product portfolio including
determine product continuations and release dates or discontinuations
establish and manage content development schedules for timely release
maintain product management database to inform 18 month calendar and product setup
establish revenue and cost of goods sold (COGS) budgets
collaborate in format delivery and development decisions
serve as product champions with marketing, communications, and channel and business development to ensure market awareness
perform analysis of product performance to c
ontinuously identify and mitigate risks and impediments to product portfolio success.
Collaborate with other Association departments (eg Management Accounting Professional Unit) as necessary/required to ensure that quality content is developed, commissioned, technically reviewed, and delivered to plan and on time.
Monitor and research the activities of standard setting, regulatory, and governing bodies as well as market and environmental developments to understand the needs of the profession.
Collaborate in ideation and concept development of new products.
Ensure contractor contracts and agreements are executed according to Association’s contract policy.
Ensure content and product development plans are aligned with competency frameworks and if applicable, CPE
courses are developed in accordance with NASBA’s CPE Standards.
Ensure team is actively engaged in using Daptiv for resource allocation and product tracking.
Manage, develop and mentor staff in a manner that promotes: professional development, empowerment of staff, agile development, market centric focus, innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Champion agile principles in product development to drive innovation, efficiency and increased ROI.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Solid knowledge of the profession and an understanding of market needs, and the product portfolio
Self-starter, confident with entrepreneurial aptitude, and ability to manage multiple projects of notable complexity and risk under tight deadlines
Ability to develop and leverage a network of prominent professionals for use in product development
Ability to develop high quality and timely products under tight deadlines and with resource constraints
Expertise in developing content and multi-format products for learning and competency development of the profession
Expertise in author identification and management
Knowledge of intellectual property law, copyright and best practices in author contracts and agreements
Strong leadership skills in managing people including promotion of collaboration, innovation, excellence and entrepreneurial spirit
Expertise in coaching and performance management
Strong, articulate oral and written communication skills including presentation skills
Required Experience, Qualifications & Education
Minimum 7 years’ combined experience in public accounting/management accounting and learning product development
Demonstrated experience and ability in identifying, scoping, and launching new products in a successful manner (e.g. timely, on budget, high quality)
Demonstrated skills and experience in meeting budgets and deadlines, and growing revenue
Demonstrated experience in leading self-motivated and empowered teams
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education
CPA license, CGMA credential, or equivalent
Product development experience in learning & development
Experience developing products and services for a membership-based professional association and for global audiences
Understanding of product development and scheduling for multi-format professional, technical, and learning products.
Experience leading agile teams
