Copyright Operations Specialist, YouTube

As a Copyright Operations Specialist, you will design and implement strategies to enhance all aspects of our copyright compliance program. You will resolve unique legal challenges, scale and streamline complex workflows, provide outstanding customer support, educate internal stakeholders and improve the YouTube copyright experience for users. You are proactive about building your technical skills and applying them to data-driven problem solving. You can balance the legal and regulatory requirements we face around the world with the needs of YouTube's users, partners, and advertisers, and are passionate about fighting abuse and protecting freedom of expression.

Process copyright removal requests and counter notices efficiently and accurately.
Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding YouTube's copyright takedown processes.
Document and communicate operational policies and procedures; design and drive process improvements and infrastructure solutions to scale our operations and enhance operational quality.
Develop educational materials to improve both internal and external customer experience.
2 years of experience in a Legal Support Operations role - reviewing removal requests, answering user queries, and working with vendors.
1 year of data analysis experience, using data to drive strategy and business action.
1 year of experience resolving escalations.
Experience implementing a training or quality assurance program.
Experience working with Engineers to design/iterate a machine learning program.
Understanding of copyright law, including DMCA and fair use.
Effective business judgment, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners.
Ability to work non-standard hours.
Ability to travel as required.
