Our client is the Austin office a premier international firm with an immediate need for a talented Patent Agent to support the firms IP practice. We know the partners at this firm quite well and they are some of the most talented and collegial in the market. Primary responsibilities of the position include developing and implementing patent filing strategies, conducting interviews with clients to obtain invention disclosures, preparing patent applications, analyzing office actions and preparing responses, conducting interviews with Patent Office examiners and other patent prosecution-related and IP group support-related activity. Candidates must be USPTO qualified, have 2 years of experience preparing and prosecuting patents, have experience writing software, and/or have obtained a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or a related field. Familiarity with applied mathematics, statistics, data science, machine learning, or natural language processing is helpful.
