Position Overview:This position will report directly to an Intellectual Property Counsel in GM's Legal and Public Policy Department. This person will prepare and prosecute US patent applications and assist with foreign patent prosecution. The successful candidate will supplement exceptional patent prosecution skills with a demonstrated understanding of complex product development. Responsibilities primarily include patent drafting, patent portfolio development and review (in conjunction with IP Counsel), patent prosecution (office actions and appeals), and possibly post-grant proceedings.
