Patent Attorney Jobs description

A patent attorney of the firm provides services on the entire procedure of patenting industrial designs and protection of the patent owner’s rights. A patent attorney’s work involves all aspects of private patent attorney practice work including liaising with inventors and corporate clients, conducting searches, providing patentability opinions, drafting patent specifications, providing opinions in relation to infringement and prosecuting patent applications. A patent attorney carries out task such as preparing and filing documents for registration of license agreement, assignment deeds and patent renewal. A patent attorney represents the clients’ interests at all stages of examination of applications as well as represents the clients’ interests in case of their disagreement with the examination decision. A patent attorney provides assistance in legal protection of selection achievements as to preparing documents required for filing patent application for the selection achievement. A patent attorney represents the clients’ interests in out-of-court and in-court settlements of intellectual property disputes.

A patent attorney should have at least 3 years of experience in intellectual property matters and skills in drafting plaints, write petition, and agreements etc. A patent attorney co-ordinates with lawyers and solicitors, appearing in courts. A patent attorney should have client relationship abilities and a strong desire to succeed. A patent attorney should have strong written and verbal communication skills and should be able to explain the complex terms of documentation in plain English.
