The qualifications required vary depending on the position and responsibilities. The qualifications also vary as per a countries jurisdiction. For e.g. in the USA to be a patent attorney or patent agent, the candidate should have at least one technical degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, biology etc. Along with this he has to clear a registration examination only after which he can earn a degree of a patent attorney.
Experience
As the desired job position is high up the job hierarchy, the number of years of experience required also increases. But in general even for a job on the lowest level of the hierarchy, a candidate needs to have good amount of internship experience with a reputed law firm.
