An intellectual property specialist partakes intellectual property counseling, training, and mentoring of internal associates.
An intellectual property specialist requires a bachelor\'s degree and 8+ years\' related work experience. A master\'s degree is always preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An intellectual property specialist should have extensive and specialized ability to identify and resolve project related issues and provide solutions and/or recommendations to ensure the successful completion of the project. An intellectual property specialist should have detailed knowledge of patent law and regulations. In addition, the candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
