Trademark Associate Jobs

A trademark associate serves as assistant to the associate counsel of a company, intellectual property counsel. A trademark associate is responsible for the form and typing of all correspondence generated by the intellectual property attorneys within the office. A trademark associate job requires the proper preparation of legal opinion memoranda; patent applications; patent prosecution documents; necessary oaths, declaration, and powers of attorney; invention evaluation questionnaires; employee patent rights report; litigation support documents; court pleadings and the like. A trademark associate arranges the format of each new patent application and of all subsequent responses to patent office actions in appropriate order to comply with patent office rules. Additionally, a trademark associate assists in maintaining the case and card files and the computer database of the office.
A trademark associate job requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, superior law school academics and the ability to produce top quality work product with minimal supervision. A trademark associate must be highly motivated and have demonstrated ability to work independently and directly with clients. Experience of 5 + years with trademark clearance, prosecution, counseling, enforcement and litigation is preferred for trademark associate jobs.
